Kristina Smith is a true operational financial executive leader with over 20 years of experience in the private sector. She began her career in accounting for a small manufacturing company in Southern California where she learned the value of automation, technology, lean principles, and processes along with how these concepts help drive profitability in a business. Subsequently these concepts became the baseline in her approach to building and strengthening teams for several mid-market manufacturing and service companies across the globe.

Kristina provides the strategic financial partner executive boards and owners need to meet organizational goals – whether it be growth, stability, an exit or all three. Driving financial health is the primary focus for Kristina in her engagements. A well thought financial strategy along with healthy finances provide the building blocks necessary to successfully execute a growth or exit strategy.

Throughout her career, Kristina experienced a wide range of topics and environments both as an employee as well as a consultant. These include private equity (sale side & portfolio company financial leadership); M&A due diligence and PMI; ERP system selection and deployments; technology roadmaps/IT guidance; banking, treasury, and financing – both traditional and non; international trade and finance; and FP&A and Accounting process improvements. Markets she has significant experience in are Manufacturing (discreet, process and job), professional services, technical/engineering, tangible product distribution, food manufacturing, and construction. She has over 14 years of experience working as the financial leader in international companies and built/led remote teams spanning the globe.

Kristina earned a B.S. in Accounting & Finance from Southern New Hampshire University. Prior to earning her minor in Finance, she minored in IT which proved beneficial as she progressed into heavier FP&A roles and ERP projects over the years. She currently lives in Catawba, NC and can travel on location as required.
